We had our first rehearsal for the Listen to Your Mother show on Sunday.
Wow. What an amazing group of women. I am incredibly honored to have been chosen to join them.
We took over the back room of a pizzeria to do the first run through of the show. The room was open to the rest of the restaurant and we had to speak loudly to be heard over the noise of a basketball game blasting from a TV. Yet even in such an unlikely place, I spent 90 minutes with goose bumps and tears in my eyes.
It’s going to be quite a show, a celebration of the mothers we had, the mothers we are, and the mothers we want to be.
Tickets went on sale yesterday and are going fast. The show will take place at the Biograph and tickets are $20. You can purchase tickets online here.
